Learning from the land

Rural children find the school curriculum offered by the Department of Education  to be far removed from their life and reality and hence rather useless. Rural India can teach its children best when the learning is related to the land and the village. A few attempts in this direction have been made. The Natural Farming Institute, Organic Farming Association of India and Taleemnet have made some attempts to design a rural curriculum. A document in draft from is also available. Persons interested in pursuing it further are most welcome to take the effort further or collaborate with us.
