Fantastic Indian Life-skills Course

Author: hashcookies | Filed under: Multiversity

This is an announcement to all our friends and associates that a winter/spring programme along the lines of the Landscapes and Lifeskills Course will be offered by Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary in the Western Ghats, and Himal Prakriti in the Himalaya. After a two year break we are delighted to be able to conduct it again; the course was much appreciated by all participants, organizers included!

Please refer to the brochure and application form.

The programme will begin in the last week of December 2011, and run at GBS till the last week of March, then at Himal Prakriti from first week of April for 2 months. The duration is a full 5 months.

For logistical reason, the GBS and Himal Prakriti segments will be organized independently. Participants are recommended to do both, but have the option of doing either one. They are also required to register separately with the two host organizations.

We are already starting to recruit students, and hope to take on 8-12 this time.  So far, one is confirmed  and two are interested.

Last time many of our friends put the word out in their own circles and helped to find interested candidates. We hope you will do the same this time. We are looking for persons between 18 and 25 (though exceptions can be considered), priority given to Indian nationals, from adivasi, rural and urban backgrounds. There will be some kind  of an interview process, and we will require references. Candidates need to be know some English, sufficient to live in an international group and to be able to discuss broad range of topics.

Admissions should end by October 30th.

We will soon send further information, as well as a new introduction to this year’s programme and an application form. Meanwhile let us start finding participants!
